Big weekend in the NFL. This is where you start to seperate the men from the ladies. Now that my bengals are out of it, Ive hopped on the saints bandwagon, but they’ve got a tough route to make it to the superbowl.

Here’s who’d i’m going with

Dallas over the Vikings
Colts over the ravens
Saints over Arizona
Chargers over jets.

Dallas will dominate. Fuck the jets for beating the bengals. Joe flacco is hurt and will be ineffective with the colts stopping Ray rice and the other two rbs for the ravens. And finally drew brees and the gang will get their heads out of their asses and unleash the ultimate weapon: DUECE.

That’s my calls. If their right I’m a genius if they are wrong who cares I’m just a chump with an opinion.

I think those that know me, know that I am a pretty big sports fan.  I would say I am a fan of about every sport that’s out there from baseball to skateboarding, to curling, I’ve find it all pretty interesting.  I played sports as a kid(i was a beast at baseball. STINKY POWER!) and I even played a little soccer in high school.  One thing I’ve really gotten into as of late is betting on sports with my buddies at work.

Some how or another I have turned into the point man for all things sports betting related.  I have ran or am currently running the following bets:

  1. College Football Bowl Pickum
  2. Fantasy Football
  3. Fantasy Nascar
  4. NLF Pickem
  5. Fantasy Fishing
  6. My own version of  Streak for the Cash

The guys at work we use this to kinda give us something to talk about that isn’t sports related and by doing this I have turned a few of the guys at work into bigger sports fans.  Everything we do cost money, it’s usually $10 bucks to get into the pot and sometimes it’s a long term or short term pot.  When you spend so much time at work it’s nice to have something no work related to talk about with your coworkers.  We also get together about once a month for some extremely low stakes no limit hold em.

Annette seems to think I have a minor gambleing problem.  I just wanted the jasefisher.com readers opinions.

Finally after what seems like 1o0 NFL seasons Brett Farve is finally calling it quits for good this time.  Brett Farve is the greatest QB of my life time and might possibly be the greatest QB of all time.  It saddens me to see him finally hang up those cleats and move on to farm in Mississippi where he will play pick up games in his wrangler jeans with his friends from around the way.

For those unfamilar with Farve’s achievements here is a list of his records

I think his most impressive streak is his consecutive games starts.  He started 269 consecutive games.  I don’t think I know anyone who has even went to work 269 in a row with out missing a day.  But to take the kind of abuse that Farve took over his years its amazing.

For me personally Brett, thanks for the memories and best of luck with your farm and pick up team in mississippi, and stay retired this time I don’t think I can take another Summer of specualtion about if you will play or not.

Looks like afraud is a fan of my blog. He took my advice and came clean about roid use. I’m curious though if people will embrace his apology. I know a hardcore Yankee fan who will make love to the apology. I for one accept it.

There isn’t one person alive who hasn’t done something and lied about it. If any thing it makes him more of an everyday man.

I don’t think the sports writers will forgive him and hof votes will be a lot harder to come by. But hell their are racist, biggots, cheats,& drunks in the baseball hof. So he would fit right in.

I have heard of the adage of turning lemons into lemonade and apparently Phelps has heard that as well.  You see that bitching watch on his bong holding arm.  Well apparently this picture has been a big boost  in sales for the company Omega the Bong Watch maker.  I’ve already heard that Cypress Hill placed an order for the entire band.

But on a side note lets leave this dude along.  He hit the bong big deal.  I know i hear all the bullshit about how he is in the spot light and how he is a role model to kids.  Well kids here is a life lesson drugs are real, Phelps likes the bong, and one day you’ll probably try drugs.  And I’m now when you are caught just blame phelps.

If that was me in the picture I would’ve denied till I died, but he went the Honest Abe route and you gotta respect him for that.  So Mike next time you fire it up do it in the privacy of you own house.  Remeber everyone has a camera phone.

How much did that tabloid pay for that picture, doesn’t he look like Denny Duquette, and Hasn’t phelps gotten a little chunky?  Time to go back on the swimming diet!

Look at the roid definition.

rtsLook at the roid definition.

This joker is a tool.  I’m just going to go ahead and say it.  He is one of the highest paid players in the league and a complete fraud.   Before 2 days ago he was my hope of passing Barry Bonds legitimately, but with recent allegations by si.com he has fallen from grace in my eyes.  Back in 03 this douche tested positive for 2 different steroids.  Unfortunately this test occurred before MLB had rules in effect to punish such offenses.  I am sure he will pay with lost endorsements, embarrassment, and fan ridicule.

Him, roger Clemens, barry bonds, and Mark McGuire all have now signed their tickets to never get in the HOF.  Sports writers have already came out and said they will not vote him in and I support that 100%.  If it was up to me I would love to see this guy ran out of the sport.

The only thing A-Fraud can do now is to come completely clean about the entire thing.  Apologize and eat crow.  I don’t think he has the sack to do this.  I’m sure he will continue to deny this until his death like Mark and Barry, and he will hide behind his precious baseball union.  So Alex to end this all apologize and retire.

I don’t know if anyone else is following this story but apparently 104 players tested positive for steroids during this 2003 testing time.  How many players off your favorite team was juicing?  Was Jose Canseco right all the time.  Jose said that 75% of all players were on the juice.  I can only assume that the steroid era in baseball was completely tainted from every player to every team.  I will personally place an asterisks on every record during this time.

Regardless I am still excited about this baseball season.  I think the Reds have a good chance this season and I hope we can finally make a run at the playoffs.  Hell if the Rays  can do it the reds can to.
